Hi,
I am Kathryn Christieson, a farrier based in both Googong, NSW (ACT) & I travel to Koo Wee Rup, VIC, Australia.
I am a passionate hoof care practitioner who has worked in the industry full time for nearly ten years. I offer trimming, polyshoeing, glue on shoes, hot shoeing and boot fitting services. I enjoy working with performance horses as part of a team to achieve the best results as well as some rehab work. I love working collaboratively with veterinarians, bodyworkers and trainers.
I have a Bachelor of AVetBSc, Diploma of EPT, Level 1 RHDP through Daisy Bicking, attended farrier school at Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School in California, USA (finishing top of my class) in 2018 & am currently in my final year of completing an RPL Cert 4 in Farriery based in Scone, NSW.
I have a commitment for learning and passing on that information to as many people as possible. Along with Dr. Shelley Appleton we host a podcast ‘Canter Therapy Podcast’ which can be found wherever you listen to podcasts. I am a Mentor for the International School of Integrative Hoofcare -Australia, a committee member for the Australian Association of Equine Podiotherapists and I have been involved in teaching the Equine Science students a farrier component at Charles Sturt University for the last three years.
At this stage I have limited availability for new clients and am only able to take on clients with referrals from your veterinarian, bodyworker or hoof care practitioner (or if you have a zebra ). If you would like to enquire about my services or book an appointment please contact me via text on 0460 632 887.
